Showcasing Student Works and Insights

My overall experience was perfect. The techniques shown in the 'More About SUBD' section are now part of my modeling process to improve the surfaces quality. Once in a while I'm still facing challenges like making internal sharp corners upon the base model, which is more about mastering topology.

If possible, I'd avoid moving CVs once an edge has a fillet, but combining workflows from Nurbs and SubD modeling, a project would probably require less updates with a methodology like:

1. Building the wireframe with beizer curves/Planes
2. Generating the SubD meshes attached to the curves in an early stage
3. Temporarily sharpening the needed edges
4. Saving a duplicated of the base mesh before applying trims and fillets
5. Now some faces from the duplicated mesh can be rescued if any considerable modification is needed

With these basics I can go ahead and experiment with new shapes/patterns for conceptual designs.

I would like to recommend Muhammad's Autodesk Alias tutorials. I have taken the first course he created, the one on the Audi e-tron GT, and being my first contact with the software I was able to completely model the entire exterior of the car. Mohammad has a special ability to explain complex concepts in a simple way, so he is the professional to learn software like Alias from.

Tutorials are very helpful and interesting. Thank you so much for providing this course. I have also pointed some feedback on Alias tutorials:

  1. Excellent content ,easy to learn
  2. Maintaining  good quality(A class) while surfacing.
  3. Should include the curve network creation section , Because it is the backbone of A class surfacing i guess.
  4. Since we don't have a proper blueprint , it's very difficult and confusing to work with a blueprint , I felt the readability of blueprints are very less.
